Caliber 7/8” bore, Barrel length 41-1/2”. This Brown Bess musket features a short tang, original brass left safe plate, a period altered scooped cheek piece on left side, original Tower GR marked lock but not original to this gun. Stock has the store keepers mark with owners initials AW BB on left side, brass butt plate, full length walnut stock, brass thumb plate, brass trigger guard, four brass cleaning rod retaining thimbles, brass forend tip, proper cleaning rod, barrel is pinned, missing slings swivels. Stock is very good with some hair line cracks, one crack at the forend, and another at the wrist behind the hammer. Dark chocolate brown iron furniture, with salt and pepper texture at the breach. Typical attic found condition.
