Caliber .75 bore, Barrel Length 42”. Typical of the French rifles imported to the U.S. The lock was manufactured at the Tulle arsenal in France. The musket features 1763 original lock and barrel bands. It is in the original Flintlock configuration, sports a British sea service patterned hammer, probably American restock. an altered 1763 barrel, missing the ramrod guide between the front and the middle bands, has original style ram rod, original swing swivels, all iron furniture is a dark patina with remnants of applied lacquer to the side plate C. B. Stock has Brown Bess contour, right side of stock has several period stress cracks that have been there for centuries. Honest un-messed with musket used by the colonies in the Revolutionary War.
