Caliber .45 ACP Barrel length 5”. Manufactured in 1943. Standard mid war production, Ithaca, WWII semi -automatic 45. Frame is stamped “Ithaca Gun Company Inc Ithaca NY”. The blued WWII barrel was manufactured by High standard. Left lug stamped “P”, right lug stamped “H.S.” Brown Keyes plastic grips with reinforcing rings, reinforced back with Keyes star (proper), left side of frame is stamped “FJA” (Frank J. Atwood). There is a proof “P” on the left side frame near magazine release. Features include: short checkered trigger, checkered magazine release, serrated arched main spring housing, serrated slide lock, spurless short checkered hammer, serrated slide stop. This pistol is in beautiful all matching original condition retaining 97-98% of the original military phosphate finish. Fine action, excellent bore. These all original early mid war Ithaca’s in high condition are getting difficult to find.
