Caliber .60 smooth bore, Barrel length 12”. Offered in untouched condition is a large military style Dragoon, single shot, British made flintlock pistol. Side plate is stamped “Farmer”. Right side of round barrel has three London touch marks. All iron furniture is a deep rich chocolate patina, brass thumb plate, heavy brass pommel, brass trigger guard, two brass thimbles and brass side plate. Plain walnut stock is very good but does have light stress crack at left barrel breech and one at left muzzle and couple of chips at pommel. Very good bore. “Gun Makers of London” lists James Farmer Birmingham circa 1740 and John Farmer circa 1800, Tower of London. Scarce large military type, London Dragoon. Overall length 19-1/2”
