Caliber .75 smooth bore, Barrel length 9”. Lock plate is stamped “Manufacture Charleville” Large military holster pistol as used in the American Revolution, features brass nose cap, trigger guard, side plate, and heavy pommel. Lock plate is stamped “Manufacture .....Ville”. Iron furniture is smooth patina, left side of barrel is stamped “DY 76 J”, stock is stamped “DY” at top of wrist, crown “N” on nose cap, side plate and trigger guard. Left side of stock has cartouche “DY76” missing the ram rod. Smooth bore, a little rough at muzzle on outside, thinning. Wood is very good with a crack at pommel, minor chips at plate. Nice example of Revolutionary War flintlock.
