Caliber .69 bore, Barrel length 42". This model is a standard U.S. Model 1816 manufactured in 1819 and was arsenal converted from Flintlock to percussion. Missing the sling swivels and it has an incorrect replaced ram rod. Features: three band, all iron furniture, lock is stamped "Harper's Ferry 1819" with U.S. Eagle. Left side has a perfect cartouche stamped in an oval. Butt plate stamped "U.S." Wood is in excellent condition with no cracks. Metal is an untouched mix of patina and gun metal grey. These conversions saw wide spread use during the Civil War. This one remains in untouched condition since the conversion.
