Sports a 14-1/4" solid brass barrel with large flare at muzzle. Part octagon at breach. Top of barrel is stamped "G. Bolenny". No proof stamps. It is a side lock percussion system with a lightly engraved hammer, original nipple, brass trigger guard, brass buttplate, walnut stock and single trigger. The brass retains a lovely mellow finish having never been cleaned or polished. The hammer and side plate are a dark brown patina with some light pitting on hammer. Has the original nipple. Working condition. The brass trigger guard and buttplate have never been cleaned. Has a steel forend. Missing the ramrod. Stocks are very good with no visible cracks, albeit the wood is a bit shy to metal at plate. It has a distinctive perch belly butt. This musket dates to the 1830s to 1850s and the lack of proof marks would give one cause to believe it is an American made product. We could find no information on name stamped on top of barrel. Beautiful blunderbuss.
