.45 LC caliber with a 3” barrel. In 1987, Colt produced a special five gun series of Sheriff’s models (Colt Single Action Army’s manufactured without ejectors). These were produced with consecutive serial numbers, were finished in the full royal blue finish, with the gold medallion smooth walnut grips. They are all referred to as the Colt Single Action Army Sheriff’s model. Some of the barrel lengths offered in this sheriff’s model set were the only such examples manufactured during the Sheriff’s model production. Revolver is in as new condition in and out with the lightest drag line. Comes in its original numbered box with paperwork, hang tags, and remains unfired. This example sports the rare 3” barrel.
