Caliber .45 A.C.P., Barrel length is 5”. This Colt was manufactured in 1918, but was refurbished for the Second World War in the black military phosphate finish. Left side of frame has the Eagle Head S.A. inspector stamp. Left side of slide has the patent dates with center pony. Right side of frame is stamped “United States Property”. Keyes style reinforced brown plastic grips, not marked. WWII short checkered wide spring hammer, checkered safety, serrated slide stop, blued barrel, stamped “S.P.” on left lug. Fine bore and perfect action. Gun retains 98% of the arsenal re-applied finish. Fine condition WWII overhauled 1911.
