Caliber .38, Barrel length 4-3/4”. This Colt Model 1911 38 Super was built in 1947. Slide features the new matte finish top and polished sides, 97% of the original finish with a high Patridge side and Bomar adjustable rear target sight. Front grip strap has been stippled and the frame has a full high polish blue finish. Has checkered walnut stocks and a serrated arched main spring housing, light weight adjustable aluminum trigger. Has a Match after- market barrel bushing stamped “S”. Serrated slide stop, checkered safety, checkered hammer, fitted with custom thumb rest checkered walnut and the right grip is standard pre- war commercial. Entire gun retains 95% of the blue finish. Fine bore and action. Custom tuned. Should make a great 38 Super target gun.
