Caliber .45 A.C.P., Barrel length 5 “. Manufactured in 1928. This pistol was produced in 1928 as a standard commercial Colt Model 1911 A-1 .45. It was customized with the addition of a micro adjustable rear sight and a high profile Patridge front sight. Slide retains approximately 80% of the original pre -war factory blue finish. The barrel is stamped “National Match Colt’s No. 7790429” and has a National Match barrel bushing No. 7267718, pre-war checkered commercial slide stop, pre-war checkered safety, pre-war short wide spur checkered hammer and finely checkered arched main spring housing. Front grip strap is devoid of finish otherwise frame retains approximately 80% of the original finish. The custom checkered walnut grips have the thumb swells on both sides. The workmanship is not signed but is of the highest quality.
