Caliber .36 percussion, Barrel length 7-1/2”. The Remington Beal’s Navy Revolver was only manufactured for two years, 1861 and 1862. It is referred to as the Navy due to its frame sign and caliber. This revolver is military issue with inspector marks, but is not Navy stamped. The loading lever contains flashes of brilliant blue, but the gun is basically gray patina. The barrel address is feathered out either from wear or cleaning, two piece walnut grips are excellent, with the brass trigger guard that has not been cleaned. Has all six original nipples. Index’s perfectly. Strong riffled bore with minor black powder abrasion. Overall a very clean example of this rare revolver.
