12-1/2" barrel, .64 bore flintlock. Offered is an ornate single shot flintlock pistol. The barrel features 7 carved silver bands and the last 3-1/4" is a decorated silver barrel sleeve. The trigger guard is an ornate high relief silver guard with a decorative trigger. The same intricate silver cutout appliques run down the back portion of the stock and the pistol is kept by an ornate silver butt. The left side plate is like wise decorated. The tang has a brass touch mark with brass borders. The one piece stock is in excellent condition retaining most of its high polished finish with no cracks. Such a gilded flintlock befitting a man of wealth and taste. These pistols were never decorated in silver with the exception of the most highly regarded personages and will usually be found decorated in brass or steel.
