Caliber 9 x 33/.357 AMP, Barrel length 6-5/8”. The Auto Mag was introduced to the world in 1971 and was produced until 2002 by eleven different manufacturers. It was the invention of Max Gaura, introduces as a seven round, stainless steel, semi -automatic, pistol that has a futuristic appearance with a vent rib, adjustable rear sight and black polymer grips. This early example appears to be a tool room model. There are no factory markings anywhere on the gun as to the model or maker. The left side is stamped “9..33” and a singular serial number stamped on frame of “002”. The front and rear grip straps are stippled as are both the bolt pullback ears. Finish is rough, never saw a final polishing. Bore and action are fine. Grips are near mint. Comes with a 1971 AMT shooters manual for the .44 automatic pistol.
