Caliber .75 Bore, Barrel length 39-1/4”. Offered is a post- Revolutionary War French musket featuring the distinctive finger groove lower rear tang. Left side of stock has a scooped cheek piece, brass pan, barrel has Belgium proof marks, block is original to this rifle, has a period brass tipped rod, right side has a French name stamped into it, arsenal marked, three barrel bands and sling swivels. Stock is excellent with one 1/2” stress crack at left side plate. As found all patina, original and untouched.
