Caliber .44 percussion, Barrel length 8”. Standard military U.S. issue Colt 1860 Army manufactured in 1863. Cut for shoulder stock. Has the “S” inspector stamp on barrel, frame, trigger guard and back strap. Has all six original nipples. 40% naval scene on cylinder. All matching numbers except lever is mis-numbered. All metal is grey patina. Walnut grips are very good with no visible cartouche and freshened up. Strong rifling with usual black powder abrasion. Cylinder does not index.
