A truly magnificent example of a German hunting sword. Overall length of 16-1/2” with a blade length of 10-1/4”. Blade is profusely etched with hunting scenes on both sides. Handle is genuine stag with nickel silver mounts. Lavish embellishments of oak leaves and acorn on crown. Center of handle bears a copper Nazi sporting emblem. Curved quillion cross-guard terminating in deer hooves, complete with center engraved shell guard. Correct scarce green scabbard with nickel silver throat and tip. A better example of a hunting sword would be hard to find.
