Caliber .38 special, Barrel length 6”. These revolvers were some of the finest target guns produced at Colt. Approximately 3500 were manufactured between 1935-1941. They are numbered in the New Service range. This revolver was manufactured in 1932, first year of production. Standard factory features: adjustable high cartridge front sight (red paint added), adjustable rear sight, wide spur target hammer (custom), checkered trigger, checkered back strap, blued finish, six shot. The barrel retains approximately 95% original factory blue with wear at muzzle. Frame retains approximately 85% original factory blue. All high edges show wear. Trigger guard retains 30% blue, balance is gunmetal grey. The cylinder is thinning and has a wear line at face and a drag line. The checkered walnut grips are a custom target type with left thumb rest and are of either Roper or Sanderson design. In very good condition with edge wear. Gun has been custom tuned and converted to single action only.
