Caliber 12 bore, Barrel length 32”. Manufactured 1888. The standard Winchester lever action 12 bore represents one of the first successful lever action repeating shotguns. It is standard in all respects and was evidently issued for police or prison use in that the forearm and butt stock are numbered “02” and stamped “CP”. Metal is a nice smooth brown patina overall. Stocks are good, slightly shy to metal, having been refinished. Right forearm chipped and stock has a chip at toe. Very good action, clean bore. This gun saw obvious use, it was an extremely popular weapon in the old west as a stage coach gun but is most recognized today as the weapon that appeared in the Terminator movie.
