Caliber .45-75 W.C.F., Barrel length 28”. Factory research lists the following: Type: Rifle Barrel Type: Octagon Checkered stock, pistol grip Case hardened Caliber: 76 as per record ... referring to model? Shipped: Sept 22, 1883 Offered is a lovely special order, case colored 1876 lever action rifle. As with all early rifles, the caliber is not marked on either the barrel or the lifter indicating 45-75. Rifle features: full octagon barrel, full magazine, 1876 dated folding ladder rear sight, original Winchester long range tang sight, deluxe checkered pistol grip walnut stocks with rifle butt plate. Barrel retains approximately 85-90% original factory blue finish with razor sharp edges and legends. The tube is a pleasing mix of blue and gun metal grey. Nose cap has traces of color. The frame, lever, and hammer retain approximately 50-70% original case colors, balance is a smooth gun metal with brilliant colors in recesses. Stocks are excellent, proud to metal, with usual wear to checkering, no cracks or chips and some beautiful fiery grain. Original cleaning rod. Strong clean bore. Extremely handsome case colored deluxe 76.
