This is a .22 rim fire rifle with a 24’’ barrel. Offered is a fine period cased Stevens single shot take down Favorite model .22 cal rifle features the half octagon barrel with walnut stock, crescent butt plate and case colored frame. This is a falling block action, is fairly standard with the exception of the presentation plaque on the right side of forend that reads “G. Ruehljng Reading PA. Manufactured in Chicopee Falls MA. by J. Stevens patented 1894”. Bore has strong rifling 70% - 80% original case colors and 50% - 60% original blue starting to thin. Excellent walnut stocks. This rifle comes in a walnut carrying case with green felt lining and brass hardware.
