Caliber 11 mm cartridge, Barrel length 4-1/2”. These revolvers were adopted by the French government in 1874. They were manufactured in the arsenal in St. Etienne. Both are Navy models and have the “Model 1873” on top barrel flat. They are six shot, double action with checkered wood grips. The first revolver, serial No. H96283 exhibits all matching numbers and was produced in 1883, stamped on right barrel. Traces of original factory blue blend with a lovely soft patina. Action is perfect, bore is near mint. Grips are excellent. Lovely revolver. The second gun is serial No. G5102 and it too has all matching numbers and is dated 1876 for year of manufacture, stamped on the right side of the barrel. This revolver was finished in the white, which is starting to tone with some minor age freckling. Grips are excellent. Indexes properly, trigger return spring is sticky. Bore is mint. Overall an exceptionally nice set of Navy revolvers.
