Caliber 11x60 mm, Barrel length 33.56". This Model 1871 was manufactured in 1881 and is dated on right side. Manufactured at the Amberg Arsenal. Barrel and frame are 93370, bolt is 79478. Top of buttplate screw is stamped "9478". Regiment marks on back of buttplate "B2R1". Middle and rear barrel bands are stamped "79478". Trigger plate screws are stamped "9478". This rifle was officially adopted by Prussia on February 14, 1872. This rifle has a storied history. Features a full length walnut stock, no handguard, three barrel bands, original rod, military sight, straight bolt, brass trigger guard, and sling swivels. Rifle was finished in the white and is now a soft grey patina. Stock is excellent with usual minor dings. Rifle also comes with an original bayonet with a brass handle manufactured by Gebr. Weyersberg. The handguard and brass throat on scabbard have matching number 134R.S.22. Bayonet and scabbard are in excellent condition. Strong, clean, rifled bore. Perfect action. Extremely fine condition early rifle.
