Caliber .22 rim-fire, Barrel length 28-3/8” The basis of this rifle is a standard small frame Martini action, stamped “BSA” on left side, Retains approximately 85% of the original factory high polish blue finish. Has loading gate which retains beautiful straw colors. Traces of original case colors on lever. 85% high polish original blue on trigger guard. Excellent original walnut butt stock with minor impressions. Original BSA logo butt plate. Rear sight is a Parker Hale #7 long range peep sight. Front end of the rifle has been replaced with a full heavy round blued barrel that measure 1-1/2” in width. The barrel is fitted with scope blocks for barrel mounted tube scope. Has a globe front sight. Bottom of the barrel is stamped twice “19” in a V. and twice “84” in a V. No other factory stamps on barrel. Barrel retains approximately 85% of its original finish with some freckling Strong rifle bore and perfect action. It is purported by the consignor that this was a Winchester ammunition test rifle but there are no Winchester proof marks so this claim cannot be verified. It is an interesting single shot rifle in fine condition as modified.
