Caliber .44 Russian, Barrel length 7”. According to the standard catalog of S&W, approximately 310 of these models were manufactured in nickel with 7" barrel and have the cut for the detachable butt stock. This revolver does not have the broad arrow marking indicating use in Western Australia. The serial number falls directly into the range listed. Features: nickel finish, case colored hammer and trigger guard with S&W black gutta persha grips. All matching numbers on barrel, latch and cylinder. This rare revolver retains approximately 40% original factory nickel with the balance a smooth brown patina. The original grips are excellent. Cylinder indexes perfectly. Strong clean, near mint bore. A very rare and extremely clean S&W new model.
