Caliber .38-.40 WCF, Barrel length 24”. This standard rifle was manufactured in 1891 and features: full round barrel, full magazine, sporting rear sight, sporting front sight (replaced), blue finish, walnut stock, rifle butt. All metal surfaces are a smooth light brown patina with traces of the original blue at rear of frame. 80% original blue on loading gate. No colors visible on hammer or lever. Stocks are excellent, proud to metal, no cracks or chips but grain is opening up on butt stock. Action is fine, strong rifling with usual abrasions. Overall clean example of iconic 1873.
