With IDs. This lot consists of three adorable 1950's era dogs. The first is a 10 cm sitting Foxy. He is made from white mohair plush that has darkened a bit over time. He is detailed with black airbrushed spots. He has tiny brown felt ears and black and brown glass pupil eyes, while his black nose and mouth are hand embroidered and are finished with a touch of pink airbrushing. He retains his original silk bow. Sitting Foxy was produced overall in 10, 14, and 17 cm from 1953 through 1955 and is considered extremely rare. The second is a fantastic example of Steiff's Waldi Dachshund. He is 14 cm tall and 30 cm long including his tail and nose. He is standing, unjointed, and made from long copper colored mohair. His face, arms, and legs are made from shorter copper colored mohair. Waldi has a black hand embroidered mouth and nose and black eyes. Post war, this item was made in 17, 22, and 28 cm from 1949 through 1980. The third is a lovely Sealyham. He is 14 cm, head jointed, standing on all fours, and made from short white mohair. Sealy's face is detailed with black and brown pupil eyes and a hand embroidered nose and mouth. His sweet triangular ears are backed in mohair and lined in felt. He was produced in 10, 14, 17, 22, 25, 28, and 35 cm from 1949-1957. This pattern and size is not often seen on the secondary market. Condition: As noted. Foxy retains his Steiff button; Waldi retains his Steiff button, red imprinted chest tag, and US Zone tag; and Sealyham has a pre-war style chest tag and US Zone tag. Foxy and Sealyham have light general playwear and dust. All are original and in good to excellent condition.
