Produced for 2 years only. This lot consists of two small and quite rare Steiff dinosaurs produced as US exclusives from 1958-1959 only. The first is a 12 cm baby Dinos Stegosaurus dinosaur. He is standing on all fours, unjointed, and made from tan mohair. He has remarkable airbrush coloring - including green, blue, purple, and brown. He has a felt back fin that is also airbrushed; it has some light losses and one triangle has a repair. Dinos' face is detailed with an open, pink lined felt mouth and green and black google eyes. This model was produced in 12 and 42 cm. The second is Steiff's Tysus T-Rex. She is 17 cm tall, standing, arm jointed, and made from tan mohair that his been airbrushed with teal, brown, and orange reptile-ish patterns and highlights. Her open, smiling mouth is lined in peach colored felt. Her back fin is made from teal felt. Her face is detailed with white and black google eyes. This model was produced in 17 and 45 cm. Condition: As noted. All IDs have been lost to time. Both have light playwear and losses, and are in good condition overall.
