This lot consists of three 15 cm adorable and unusual rabbit "nightcap" animals. All are head jointed. Their heads, ears, and arms are made from tan mohair. Their bodies, which are designed to be like a hollow tent, are made from felt. This set includes red, orange, and green examples. The rabbits' faces are detailed with very large brown and black pupil eyes, a pink hand embroidered nose and mouth, clear monofilament whiskers, and a touch of airbrushing. Other Steiff nightcap animals include cats, bears, foxes, dogs, and additional well-attired rabbits. These items were all designed to hide a sweet, prize, or coin on the pillow of a child. All were produced between 1968 and 1973. Condition: As noted. All are original and complete and in excellent condition.
