Caliber .31 percussion, Barrel length 4”. Manufactured in 1869. Standard Model 1849, manufactured near the end of production with an octagon barrel and New York barrel address. Barrel retains generous amounts of the original high polish blued finish, frame colors have darkened, 30-40% visible cylinder scene turned brown patina, original nipples, very good original varnished walnut one piece grips, brass trigger guard and grip strap, no traces of plating. Strong visible rifling with black powder residue. Has all matching numbers except wedge is not numbered. It is missing the front trigger guard screw, revolver indexes but needs some attention to the timing as it sometimes locks up.
