Barrel length is 27 - 1/2” chambered 16bore. This incredible, high grade over under shotgun was manufactured in Germany in 1952. The 16 bore barrels are choked improved on top and bottom. Shotgun has all matching numbers. Barrels feature a full, solid, matted rib with twin bead sights. Has mirror bores and auto ejectors. Stock is extremely unusual; it features a two piece for-end, the upper portion attached to the barrels, bottom portion is removable with fine line diamond skip checkering, all metal on for-end is a gray satin nickel finish with fine scroll handle chiseled engraving. The butt stock features the same checkering pattern on pistol grip. It too has the walnut oil finished as assembled with leather covered pad and a silver I.D. plaque in butt. Has a 15” LOP to front trigger. The frame features side plates, finished in French satin nickel. Beautiful hand chiseled engraving of Germanic leafs and scroll with multi - game scene on left panel as well as right panel. Base of frame and trigger guard are engraved with game birds. Gun remains in beautiful, all original condition. The epitome of German craftsmanship during its zenith, shortly after the Second World War. Shotgun comes in a hard case of more recent vintage.
