The 31-1/2" straight blade of ovoid section, the upper portion etched with floral scrolls, crown and GR, the reverse etched with address of maker: Marshall & Co./57/Jermy St. Gold-finished hilt with clamshell guard appliqued with contrasting thistle crest. Crossguard with flower terminals. Wire-wrapped grip, sculpted knuckle-bow, ribbed, round pommel and cylindrical finial. Contained in black leather scabbard with engraved, gold-finished mountings, shell theme belt stud. Blade, hilt and scabbard with light wear overall.
