Caliber .300 Savage, Barrel length 22". This fine pre-war Savage Model 99, was manufactured 1936-1937. Model is referred to as the Model 99 R and features the semi beaver tail forearm with blunt tip and checkered side panels. Features include: blued finish, sporting sights, case colored lever. This rifle features a Redfield tang mounted rear adjustable peep sight. Brass cartridge counter. Rifle remains in excellent condition. Retaining 95% original factory blue on barrel and frame. Excellent checkered dark walnut stocks with no cracks or chips. Blue steel serrated metal butt plate. Comes with a vintage hunter sling. Perfect action, strong clean bore. Excellent example with lots of condition for an R model, prewar.
