Cal .300 Savage, Barrel length 22”. The Savage Model 99 F, featherweight, was introduced in 1955. This rifle does not have the sliding safety that was introduced in 1960, thus placing this rifle Manufactured. date between 1955-1959. Features the blued factory finish with the ramp front sight, sporting rear, brass cartridge counter, case colored lever, solid frame, pistol grip checkered walnut stocks with blunt nose for-end and serrated steel butt plate. Metal retains 97% of the original factory blue finish with bright case colors on lever. Sling swivels. Interesting adjustable period mounts utilized factory scope option. Comes with a Balvar Bausch and Lomb 5x scope. Wood is in excellent condition, proud to metal, no cracks or chips with a few minor bumps on left forearm. Fine bore and action. Beautiful post -war 99 with period glass and mounts.
