This sword was obtained from King Ludwig's castle by O.S.S. officer in charge and base at the castle. Post-war procurement of civilian weapons and was consigned by said officer. the blade was fire blued and etched in gold. Has "King Ludwig" monogram with crown. Hilt is stamped "G.W.". 9" of blade from hilt is fire blued, balance polished. Blade measures 30". Has solid brass handguard and pommel with tight wire bead wrap over metal. Scabbard is soft leather with brass tip and throat with single stud hanger.
Condition: (Excellent - Near Mint).
