Caliber .44 bore, Barrel length 37-3/4". This classic PA long rifle features beautiful curly maple stock, with full octagon barrel. small blade front sight and wind drift rear sight. Signed Jacob Raff (the last name is extremely difficult to decipherer we believe it to be Raff of circa 1820). The cheek piece has a repair, there is a crack on the toe retained by toe plate. Brass butt plate, nickel thumb plate, brass trigger guard, patch box and toe plate, set trigger. Engraved English action. Iron furniture is a dark brown patina, stock is excellent with beautiful grain. Very fine, all original PA long rifle dates to the early part of the 19th century signed piece.
