The original shako of black felt with top of leather. Black top band with white tape and cockade surmounted with a metal button bearing the no. 2. Leather chinstrap and brim. No pom-pom. Interior with paper field repairs. The leather sweatband and brims with wear and losses. Shako appears to have received many field repairs and wear is commensurate with age of item.
