A classic Steiff figure from the earlier part of the 20th century, what is more amazing is the history behind this gentleman, please read his life story below. In all original as found condition(65 years ago)he still retains his ear button as well as 9 Steiff buttons on his red vest. Overall he is in very good condition with uniform dustiness/soiling, most noticeable to his flesh colored face & hands. His black leather shoes have lost coloring and his right shoe shows distress breakage and in need of some attention/repair however his felt soles are intact and just lightly soiled. As stated above the story accompanying this fellow only adds to his appeal and desirability!
