4 - 3/4" barrel in caliber 7.65mm. These American Eagle Lugers were manufactured for export to the U.S. The serial number on this pistol falls right in the middle range and is standard for this model in all respects. It has all matching numbers. The right grip panel is simply stamped, "8". There is no serial number on the wood bottomed magazine. It is stamped "Germany" on the front of the frame. Has the blue finish with the straw colors. Front receiver bridge is stamped with the American Eagle and the toggle is stamped "DWM". Has the grip safety. This pistol retains approximately 93% original factory blue. There is light wear at muzzle, some thinning in patina on grip straps, side plate is starting to patina, and some light high edge wear on rails. An estimated 7,500 to 8,500 total production.
