26" barrel in .22 rimfire caliber. This miltary style training rifle was manufactured by Mauser. Features the full length stock, no handguard, military style rear sight, two barrel bands (one for sling), ramrod, steel buttplate. Bottom of stock has an owner property tag in aluminum. Matching numbers on barrel and receiver. No number on bolt. "80" stamped on safety. Matching number on bolt release (71). No number on stock. Barrel retains approximately 90% original factory blue, starting to soften and turn patina. Receiver is basically a blue-brown patina. Walnut stocks are very good to excellent. Fine action. Strong, clean, rifled bore. Nice early pre-war .22 trainer.
