22” barrel in .30-40 Krag. Offered is a standard U.S. issue Krag 1896 carbine. Has the military adjustable rear sight stamped “C” for carbine, rear barrel band has the elongated ears to protect rear sight, walnut handguard with a small 1” crack at top, proper walnut stock is devoid of any visible cartouche, saddle ring bar and ring, and original front sight. Barrel is a mix of blue and soft patina. Frame has softened to a gun metal grey with sharp legends. Traces of blue on magazine. Trigger guard and barrel band are grey patina. Repaired sling swivel stud hole on stock in for-end. Stock is very good with no cracks or chips. Strong clean bore.
