25-7/8" barrel in caliber 7.7 Japanese. Manufactured at the Toriimatsu Factory, Nagoya Arsenal. Features inverted V front sight with guards, two screw front barrel band, blued cleaning rod, rear barrel band with sling swivel, 'Type 2' characters on bridge, adjustable rear peep sight to 1,500 meters with anti-aircraft wings attached, full royal mum on front receiver bridge, two piece buttstock with full length handguard, no drain holes, plum shaped bolt knob, knurled safety with notch indicator, two screw type rear sling swivel, cupped edge sheet metal buttplate, and all blued parts. This rare rifle is in extremely fine condition. Matching number 328 on both sides of takedown assembly as well as receiver. 466 number on bolt matches serial number. Stock is in very good to excellent condition with just the usual bumps and bruises. Has the original dust cover. This rifle retains nearly all of the original factory blue on the metal, including trigger guard and floorplate, but is thinning to patina on the takedown assembly. Mirror shiny bore. Perfect action. Comes with an original Japanese bayonet with metal scabbard. The Type 2 Takedown Paratrooper Model with this much condition and the original mum is extremely difficult to find.
