25-1/2" barrel in 7.7 Japanese, re-chambered to .30-06 caliber. Manufactured at the Toriimatsu factory, Nagoya Arsenal. This is a true sniper rifle, the factory code and serial number 75 are found on the top rear bridge. Has matching turndown bolt with plum shaped knob, full royal mum, and top of barrel is stamped ".30-06" (re-chambered). The frame and wood have the factory cutouts for the scope rail (now missing). All other features are standard. Has an inverted V front sight with guards, two screw front barrel band, rear barrel band with sling swivel, rear sight adjustable to 1,500 meters with anti-aircraft wings, full royal mum on top bridge, two piece buttstock with full handguard, knurled safety with notch indicator, cupped edge sheet metal buttplate, and two screw rear sling swivel. All parts blued retain a pleasing mix of blue-brown patina, some brilliant. Very good to excellent stock with very few bumps. Mirror bore and action. Comes with original Japanese bayonet with metal scabbard and leather frog. Needs the scope set-up to be a legitimate sniper rifle.
