Sword with a 30-1/4" slightly curved blade with no fullers but a top rib. Right ricasso marked: C.F. and an obscure cartouche. Three-bar gilt guard pierced with raised image of a reclining lion and rising sun. Top bar and quillion terminating in stars. Ribbed wood grip. Oval pommel with cabbage leaf decoration. Contained in black leather covered wood scabbard. Two ring mounts. Mounts showing wear and de Leather cracked, chipped and repainted. Blade showing wear and light pitting. Hilt with wear and patina. Grip lacking wrap. Scabbard showing wear, chips and repainting.
