The first gun is a double barrel, 12 bore, half stock, percussion, double hammer, side plates, walnut, double trigger, engraved brass trigger guard, smooth steel butt plate. Metal is brown patina with age freckling and some minor corrosion at breach. Stocks are very good, no major cracks. Perfect working order. the second gun in this lot is a half stock, smooth bore, fowling piece with a 39-1/2" half octagon barrel. Browned finish, stamped "London" on top. Finely engraved lock and hammer. Nickel silver engraved trigger guard. Has engraved patch box at butt. Checkered wrist. Excellent wood with no cracks in extremely fine original condition. Both guns date to 1840s-50s. The first gun is not marked.
