The officer’s small sword with straight blade of 28-3/4" long, diamond section with two fullers on each side. Left side with scroll inscription and tiny hallmark on ricasso (crown over B). Right side inscribed: Manufre/Klingenthal. Five spots below. Cast brass hilt, the clamshell guard with ship and floral terminals. Knuckle-bow. Spherical pommel. Grip with eagle and laurel leaves. Contained in black leather-covered scabbard with two brass mounts. Belt hook. Blade with wear and pitting. Hilt with wear and patina. Scabbard with wear to leather and dents to mounts.
