26” barrel in .30-06 caliber. The Model 1917 rifle was the stallworth of the A.E.F. during the first World War. This is a typical San Antonio Arsenal rebuild. The barrel is a Winchester stamped “3-19” and has an Ordnance bomb. Has an Eddystone bolt release, bolt, safety, and stock. Left side of stock has numerous rebuild stamps including San Antonio Arsenal and G.S.A.A. Rifle still retains 90% of the World War I era blue finish turning patina. Stock is excellent. Strong rifling. Fine action. Comes with a period sling with brass frogs. Has an ME reading of 2.
