25” barrel in caliber .303 British. This rifle was manufactured in 1917, the year America entered the First World War. Most of these saw extremely heavy use and surviving examples are getting quite scarce. This early model has the stripper clip guide. Bolt is numbered 6609, as is front bridge. All metal is a pleasing plum blue. Has the original two piece walnut stock with brass buttplate and right side stock disc with numerous proof marks on both parts. Has the two-piece handguard and early style rear sight with ears to 2,000 meters. Wood is very good to excellent with usual dings. Fine bore and action. Comes with a period sling.
