24" barrels in .30-06 caliber. This pair of U.S. M1 Garand rifles have been altered as to make them non-firing. The barrels have been plugged and the firing pins have been welded. The first gun is manufactured by Springfield with serial No. 1770028. The barrel is dated 1943. Stock has the "P" proof on pistol grip. Cartouche on left side is no longer visible. Frame has remnants of black paint over original phosphate finish. Traces of black paint on exposed barrel and gas chamber. Stock has numerous dings and dents. The second gun is an H&R with serial No. 5500133. Has an 8-1954 HRA barrel. Op-rod has been re-blued. Framed retains most of the original military parkerized finish. Gas tube has remains of black enamel. Proof "P" on wrist. No visible cartouche on stock. Stock has numerous dings and dents. Lots of good serviceable parts on these two rifles.
