With scabbard. Having a 30-3/4" straight, tapered blade, the lower portion with fire-blued finish and having gold-washed panels featuring, Arms panoplies, scrolls and the royal cypher of Ludwig II. Gold-finished hilt with clamshell exhibiting a lion in relief, lion head quillions and a relief-cast knuckle-bow with floral motifs. Bullion tape sword knot and drop. Offset lion head pommel. Pearl grip scales, the right side with oval rayed escutcheon with royal cypher of Ludwig II. Laurel leaf back strap. Black leather scabbard with two gold-finished mounts. Top mount stamped on reverse: Bormann/Munchen. Shield-shaped belt stud. Blade showing wear and pitting (mainly at tip). Hilt with light wear. Scabbard with wear and losses to surface. Sword knot worn and frayed.
